Hcg Injections Side Effects

Dr. A.T.W. Simeons, the man who introduced the HCG diet (HCG stands for human chorionic gonadotropin hcg) does not offer any details about HCG injections side effects in his book. That work, Pounds and Inches, does explain in detail how the injection of human chorionic gonadotropin can aid weight loss.

It discusses how that hormone works at the dyencephalic level of the brain, thus increasing the functional capacity of those centers. The enhanced activity in those centers is supposed to be linked to the observed weight loss.

Yet while that volume contains no mention of HCG side effects, it does have an important statement at the end of its foreword. Here is the basic thrust of the statement that is made by the book’s author, Dr. Simeons: He says that when he makes a pointed statement in his book, then he anticipates and indeed invites a health professional to consider the need for clinical evidence. Such evidence would help to support any implied or stated hypothesis offered by the doctor and author.

The person who decides to purchase hcg and peruse Dr. Simeon’s book should keep the condensed version of the doctor’s statement, as presented above, in mind. That statement should caution the reader against trusting the veracity of claims such as this: “HCG produces little or no tissue reaction.”

That claim, which Dr. Simeon has included in his book, highlights one of the side effects that have indeed been linked to the injection of human chorionic gonadotropin. That side effect concerns the development, over time, of an allergic reaction.

While a possible allergic reaction represents the possible side effect that should concern most users of Dr. Simeon’s diet, certain specific patients could experience other unwanted problems. Those problems might show up in patients who failed to read beyond the printed claim that HCG’s benefits extend beyond weight loss. Those benefits are said to include a lessening of the symptoms associated with certain disorders.

Indeed, the injection of this fat-loss associated hormone does cause a lowering of the blood sugar level in diabetic patients. However, Dr. Simeon has mentioned that whenever diabetic patients do receive such injections, then they must be watched carefully by a health professional.

In other words, by linking use of this pregnancy-associated hormone to lower blood sugar levels, Dr. Simeon has introduced a hypothesis. Furthermore, that hypothesis must undergo further testing, before it can be considered a valid theory.

Still, that fact does not disprove the ability of Simeon’s diet, which can include injections, to produce significant weight loss without hcg injections side effects.
