Here’s how it all began with this HCG diet…
Hcg diet author, a British doctor, Dr Simeons, discovered the HCG diet in 1954. Prior to this he had spent years trying to understand what caused obesity. He viewed obesity as a disorder and rather than looking at overeating as a cause, he considered it the result.
In reality this means:
- If you are obese you will quickly accumulate fat whether you eat normally or excessively.
- If you are not obese, you will never become overweight even if you eat excessively.
His research conclude that there were 3 different types of fat stored within the body:
- Structural fat, which is stored between the organs
- Normal fat, which is available freely as fuel when needed
- Abnormal fat, which is locked away and cannot be used by the metabolism until all other fat has been burnt
Human chorionic gonadotropin
Diet trends, weight loss diets, low carb diets and fads come and go, as we seek a diet plan, the diet, a way to help us shed unwanted pounds and inches, but a fat loss diet like HCG diet has no equal.
Diets don’t usually work for people with abnormal fat stores because they don’t lose the right kind of fat while dieting.
This diet works at the metabolic level to discharge these stores into the bloodstream so that they can be used as fuel, and this is why a low calorie diet MUST accompany the HCG diet plan .

The original HCG diet reviews
The original HCG diet protocol involved a low calorie diet and a series of HCG diet injections. There has been a great deal of controversy as to whether it is best administered by injection or by mouth. However, oral HCG (under the tongue) mimics the injection and either way you are ingesting the same hormone.
A word of warning:
Dr. Simeons said there were no known HCG diet dangers or HCG side effects, but there are different types of HCG hormone and you should be aware that some of those HCG hormones are not the best choice to make!
Either with Hcg injections or with the HCG drops (sublingual – drops under the tongue) losing weight, as far as I know, has never before been this easy and this fat loss diet has no equal. So far, no one could show me any diet that comes even close to this diet. So, if you know any other diet out there that works better and faster than this diet, please let me know in the comments below, I’d really like to hear about it, seriously!

Of course there will be skeptics who will tell you that this diet is dangerous or doesn’t work, however this method has more than fifty years of research behind it.

HCG Diet Plan
If you are interested in trying the hcg diet plan, then you have probably heard people talk about hcg diet dangers. These dangers are mostly myths. The hcg diet injections work safely, but need to be done by a qualified medical professional who follows the instructions laid down by Dr. Simeons, so yes, the hcg diet works. However, I personally recommend the sublingual HCG diet (HCG drops under the tongue), as for me, sublingual HCG diet is much safer, and to be honest, I don’t like needles.
And for the diet… be very careful about even basic condiments like sugar (NO sugar allowed) and milk (ONLY 1 spoon a day allowed) in this lose weight diet, as you need to eat the foods on the list and avoid ones off of the list . HCG diet for weight loss questions may revolve around substitutions in this plan, but there is plenty of room for variety in your protein and your produce.
There is a strict limit on carbohydrates, but that need not keep you from enjoying normal favorites. Create light recipes and substitute lettuce for bread in wraps or meat for potatoes in shish kebabs. Lean chicken is an excellent source of low fat protein and can be broiled, baked or roasted without adding calories.
HCG diet side effects
While the Atkins and South Beach diets tend to leave you tired and sluggish throughout the day, and the Jenny Craig diet requires customers to consume large quantities of water, there are few if any at all HCG diet side effects to speak of, and most of which have been very customer specific.
Other diets due to the low calorie intake can cause you to lose valuable nutrients and vitamins from your body as you lose weight and this will often times bring on cravings for certain foods that can cause you to over eat and regain the weight you have lost.
However, according to Dr. Simeons, with hcg diet injections or hcg drops, anecdotal evidence suggests your body uses your stored fat and does not rob the body of these vitamins and nutrients even with consuming the low calorie diet .

You can start a new round after doing 3 weeks of the maintenance phase.
i have hypothyroid and take meds daily . i noticed your supposed to stop all meds does this also include this type?
No, never stop taking your medications. Keep taking everything you are on unless your doctor takes you off of them. Don’t listen to everything you read out there. A lot of bad information out there. That’s why I suggest working with the people I used because they coach you personally and help you through the diet.
Hi there, I’ve read the website and all the comments, I’m very interested in try hcg. I’ve been working out 5 days a week and eating right for about 6 1/2 months now and have lost 66lbs, my problem is I’ve hit a block for almost 6 weeks o have lost nothing. So I guess my question is what is allowed as far as working out and why? Like I said earlier I work out daily w a trainer and would like to continue, will working out affect results??

I did not get the drops from the site your suggesting, but I want to say that this diet REALLY works!! I started it back on May for 2 weeks and lost 17lbs. I must admit that I found it hard not to “cheat” and did so a couple of times. I was feeling less hungrier than usual, but having to cook regular meals for my family was too much of a temptation at times. Regardless of my cheating, I still lost 17lbs. It is now September and I’ve been on it a week now. Lost 11 lbs this past week. This diet is not a “walk in the park,” but it DEFINETLY will give you fast results. I figure: I’d be on this fast diet and lose weight fast versus spending lots of money on a diet that takes months and have crazy side effects. = )
Thanks for all of the great Information. I’ve been trying many different things for over a year now and seem to just be going up and down 2-5 pounds, as nothing has really working for me. I’m 5’4 141, so a 5-20 pounds weight loss is what I’m looking for. My trainer has suggested this, do to not having any futher luck. So I’m going to give this a try – hoping this works for me. I’ll be sure to take a look at the book. I’ve also heard different things about exercise? I’m hoping I can continue with that.

Hi there my name is Michelle, I’m very interested in purchasing hcg. I previosly posted a comment on Friday and got no response, so I took it upon myself to read pounds & Inches. Very good and insightful but I still have not found a answer to my question, will working out affect my results at all positively or negative? I work out 5 days a week for an hour w a trainer doing Crossfit, I would like to continue. I would like to know if working out will affect me?

Dear Michelle, workout is not recommended during the HCG diet. First, it is NOT needed in order to lose weight with the HCG diet, and second.. it could actually make it hard for you to lose weight, so personally, I’d stay away from exercise during the HCG diet.

ok so i have started the hcg just ending day 2,im feeling great. i am having a very very hard time undertanding why i am not supposed to exercise. I work out w a trainer 5 days a week and dont undertand why exercise is not reccomended. Exercise has become such an important part of my life, i dont know how to just stop.

Dear Michelle, according to Dr. Simeons, exercise is simply not needed when your HCG dieting, that’s all. And there’s many different ways of “exercise” and/or “workouts” too. Working out may increase the level of stress your body is under, you know that, right? So, that’s just one of the reasons why I personally wouldn’t workout while dieting with the HCG, at least not during Phase 1. IMO, it would be better to just postpone it until you’re done with Phase 1 of the HCG diet, then you can add your workouts back in while on the HCG diet Phase 2, make sense? Of course walking and light exercise is ok I guess, but strenuous exercise is not imho. That is just my personal opinion though. Btw, have you read the eBook yet? Hi, I’m on the HCG five days now including the loading days and already I’ve lost 5lbs. Well my problem is that 2day I messed up my cycle twice. I work on the rd and its difficult to really eat as planned at times. I took the hcg about 12.30pm and didn’t get to eat until about 3.00pm and I took it again about 5.40 pm (dinner) and had tea @ 6pm. Well what I wud love to know also is if I can taste food which are not allowed, not swallow, just taste? Cuz I do have to cook dinner for my family and u know, I need to get it right, so I need to taste @ times.
Hey Candy, I’d say, you could taste the food, as long it’s not fatty food, you know what I mean? You must avoid fats during the HCG diet, internally and externally.

Brittany, that’s 50 pounds to lose. I cannot give you health/medical advice, and only sharing my opinion here, please make sure to consult your doctor about this, before starting any diet. If this was my situation, I’d do it in 2 rounds. So you lose 25 lbs the first time you do it, then wait 2-3 months, then do another round of the HCG diet, to lose the remaining 25 lbs. Again, that’s how I would go about this, so this is not a suggestion in anyway, hope you understand that – however, I recommend you read the book, it’s free and you can find in the sidebar menu. Well, if you are suppose to consume only 500 calories a day, any person will lose 2 -3 pounds a week. This or any other supplement would not make the difference. The 500 calories a day is all you need to know.
Thunderbird, I understand your point, but you’re wrong here and I can see you haven’t read the book yet. Please read it and learn why HCG diet allows you to only consume 500 calories a day and lose body fats without starving. If you try to consume only 500 calories a day WITHOUT HCG, you will not last long, maybe a couple days and that’s it. Then your metabolism would shut down and you won’t lose weight, no matter what. Not to mention starving is dangerous, so never ever try doing that. Please read the book, it will all make sense then, you will understand how HCG diet works.
I have been on the plan for three weeks. I have lost 16 pounds and I only need to lose 8 more to be at my original goal! I have stayed faithful to the diet and 500 calories. The first few days were tough, because I was thinking of food. Now I have to remind myself to stop and eat. I am a small petite person, and have had no side effects from this product.
I actually didn’t think I had that much to lose, but when I was knocking on 200 lbs, I knew I had to make a change. My boss took it and saw amazing results and recommended it to me. I’ve been on the diet for two weeks (after watching my friend, her sister and her mom lose 40+lbs). I of course loved the gorge days, but the next day (first day on the VLCD), I had so much energy and my mood was very positive. It hasn’t changed much since then. I lose about 3-4lbs a day and I actually crave the food on the diet, but I get full so easily. This diet definitely isn’t BS.

How long did your Phase 2 last, the usual 3 weeks or so? If so, I’d wait for 2 months then do another Phase1 of the HCG diet. It’s better to wait for a while, according to Dr. Simeons.. have you read the book yet?

I had been on all the usual diets, but I have no patience and the typical monthly five pound weight loss didn’t seem to make it worth the effort. I lost over ten pounds the first week on HCG and a total of 25 pounds by the end of the month. I have been off the drops for three months now, but monitor my weight and eat smaller portions and haven’t experienced any significant weight gain. I am a vegetarian and that didn’t pose a problem. I am going for one more round of drops! Love it!

Always ask your doctor but a good oral product shouldn’t have any issues. But I might avoid injections if I were you.
